Kitti

From Kitti:

My belly dance journey began when I was 13, when my mum took my to my first class and we danced together for many years afterwards. From that moment, dance became part of my life, and it has stayed with me ever since. Together, my mum and I would create our own costumes, and over the years I have continued making them myself.

My favourite style is the drum solo, with its sharp rhythms, energy, and the way it allows me to truly connect with the music. At the same time, I love stepping out of my comfort zone to explore different belly dance styles, each bringing new challenges and inspiration.

For me, bellydance is more than just movement; it’s freedom, confidence, and joy. It has taught me resilience, artistry, and a deeper appreciation for music and culture. Even today, bellydance is not only a hobby but also a passion that keeps me inspired. Whether performing, learning, or designing costumes, it remains a thread that connects me to who I am and where I started.
